Al Larkins Park
1504 34th Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122
Named after the notable Jazz artist, teacher, and founding member of Rainy City Jazz Band, Alvin (Al) Larkins. Larkins played with such greats as Sarah Vaughn, Maurice Chevalier, and Duke Ellington. Al Larkins Park is located in what is now the Madrona neighborhood and has a large, grassy area with shade trees and picnic tables. It is accessible by foot and provides a nice respite on a walk around the Central District, as it is located in a more residential area than several other public parks.
