Broadcast Coffee
1918 East Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98122
There is always interesting conversation taking place at Broadcast Coffee. According to their website, "In 2008, Broadcast Coffee opened its first cafe on Yesler and 20th, named in honor of his [Barry Faught] dad’s [Bill Bailey] lifelong passion for radio. The goal from the get-go was to spread love and acceptance through hospitality and delicious drinks." Here you can find small-batch coffees from cooperatives and independent farms. Located across from Dr. Blanche Lavizzo Park/Edwin T. Pratt Park, Broadcast Coffee is very close to Pratt Fine Arts, Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, Washington Hall, Squire Park P-Patch Community Garden, and Byrd Barr Place—placing it right in the center of many cultural and artistic energy. It's location on Yesler makes it very easy to access via many modes of transportation (e.g., bus, walking, automobile) and both the entrance to the building and all streets nearby are ramped allowing for use of strollers and wheelchairs.
