Find Yourself Outside Public Art Installation
28th Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98144
Across the street from Flo Ware Park is a mural created by local artists AfroSPK and Perri Rhoden, both members of the Vivid Matter Collective. The piece is featured on an exterior wall of the Seattle Girl's School. Entitled, "Find Yourself Outside," this mural depicts Black people participating in outside activities popular in the Pacific Northwest such as swimming, dancing, paddle boarding, and camping. By placing this work on a wall attached to a school and facing a play area, young folx are able to constantly see a world in which they are welcome.
