Kari Wetphal’s artwork is inspired by nature; simply being outside and present in time. She aims to bring a part of that peace into her art. She paints in encaustics. Texture, light and atmospheric quality are her obsessions; she strives for a small escape in each painting. During the pandemic, she added the free little art gallery outside of the studio door. It’s intent is to share joy and art with those that happen by. It has been very fun to see people get engaged. It functions like a “free little library” – leave some, take some, spread some joy.
