In 1997, a little piece of land between 3rd and 6th Ave NW became a rose and fruit garden. Why? Well, the old crumbling concrete sidewalk served no purpose to the growing neighborhood. The community acted, deciding the broken pieces could be used as the new pavement for the garden now known as the Greenwood P-Patch, growing a whole variety of greens, flowers, and plants.
